A week ago, Dan and Camden and I went to Branson for an exciting adventure!! We saw the best show ever --- Jonathan and Kristy and kids! Nope, this one isn't a public, expensive show, but only available to select individuals. Here are some highlights from our visit, which was incredibly enjoyable. Unfortunately, I took more pictures with Kristy's camera, which I didn't download to our computer (I know, you're probably grateful to be spared, but I actually took pictures that were NOT of Camden), so you won't get the full visual here.
Taking a break on our hot, sweaty hike along Table Rock Lake, David was trying to explain that we were all going to get lost and die, but then we would come back to life and live forever. Also, David thinks that when he is ten he will be able to do everything - like touch the bottom of the pool, go on a speed boat, and know everything. (He can actually stand in the pool - with his head above water - in the 3 ft area, but he was too timid to do so.)
It was so surprising to see how much Isabelle has grown up! She was baptized last month.
Classic Miri pose.
This was the beautiful view at the end of our hike. Miri and Isabelle loved getting their feet wet and watching the boats zoom by. The breeze off the lake was really enjoyable too.
Adorable, shy Emily. She didn't want to have much to do with me. She pretended she wanted to be chased and tickled like the other kids, but then she cried if I caught her.
We spent time each day at the pool. The indoor pool. Because an outdoor pool just isn't sufficiently refreshing to offset the disgusting 100 degree temps plus some revolting high humidity. And it's awfully hard to get sunburned at the indoor pool! However, it did get a little chilly after a while. The kids liked to warm up in the hot tub periodically.
Camden got a little pool time, too, with some help from Dan. And he liked it pretty well until he got cold.
Camden, just chillin' after recovering from the trauma of the refreshingly cool experience of being extricated from the pool and all his wet apparel. He has discovered his toes and loves to grab them with his fingers and pull. Good thing his toes appear to be securely fastened to his feet.
