Unbounded Domesticity

Now that Camden has discovered the joy of wiggling and kicking in his bouncy seat and on the floor blanket, I have more time with 2 free hands. Also, my wonderful boy seems to be taking a couple hour + naps in the morning and early afternoon. I'm so delighted!!
Isn't he cute!! I love my boy!

So I've been hankering to make strawberry jam and when I saw strawberries on sale for a fantastic deal, I hastened to fulfill this tasty dream.
I asked one of our young women to come be a baby holder/assistant, which worked out perfectly.

We made 3 batches of jam - 8 of the bigger 16-oz jars and 7 of the 8-oz little jars. I think it may be a little too thick, even though I didn't add the full amount of sugar. Oh, well!

Oh, yeah. And I made fruit leather too. It turned out pretty well for an amateur like me. It was a little time-consuming to peel it off, but it tastes pretty good!
