Likes and Dislikes

I am sure you are as fascinated with my little boy as I am, so of course, you want to know all about him!

Camden does NOT like:

• Having his diaper changed - more often than not, he'll be screaming as if you were removing his toenails with hot pokers.


• Peeing on himself - typically occurs while screaming about the above item.


• Having his clothes changed - which happens much more frequently than I would have imagined, due to the above issue.


• Falling asleep - seems like he fights going to sleep and cries and snuffles and bobbles his head and then finally gives in and snoozes. This is slightly irksome at night. Sometimes, though, if you talk to him and explain, he stares intently at you and then relaxes. I guess I probably bore him.


• Having a bath -

Sorry this is a blurry picture, but it's about the only one I have of him angry. I'm usually so busy trying to console him, I don't think to grab the camera. He really does have the most heart-rending cry. This is his first partial bath (we only wiped him down). Not his favorite thing.

Also, Camden does NOT like being buckled into his carseat. Once he is in, if you swing him back and forth a little (Dan has a great technique), he is reconciled. And if we drive very far this is what he looks like:

Camden does like:

• Singing - especially if his dad is singing. No surprise. How could anyone not like Dan singing?!


• Being outside - Dan has shown him around the yard a couple times and he is always very content in the outdoors. Stops crying almost right away.


• Being swaddled - he loves to be wrapped up in the blanket like a little burrito. Except he always manages to get his little hands out. Little Houdini.

Camden loves to eat! Here he is after a meal and a little burping. He makes the best faces! And he only urps up sometimes - but it always happens when he is wearing a cute outfit.

Camden loves his swing (which a very noble friend has lent to us). I can't think it's actually comfortable the way his head lolls to the side once he zonks out, but he seems very content.

Camden loves it when you talk to him. He will stare at your face intently and does an amazing impression of one who is drinking in every word. He is very cute. And it really stokes my ego!
